
Our Voices, Our Minds
Our Voices, Our Minds is a program created by ALMAS and North Central College youth, in collaboration with youth from the community, aimed at supporting BIPOC (black, indigenous, and people of color) youth. Each year, the program explores a theme related to the experiences of BIPOC youth, with the goal of fostering understanding and sparking important conversations. The inaugural theme focused on "BIPOC Youth Navigating Mental Health."
HIGHLIGHTS
Open Dialogue and Expert Panels: Provides a space for open dialogue with youth panelists and experts, discussing relevant topics in a safe and supportive environment.
Interactive Activities: Offers engaging opportunities for participants, such as community resource fairs, live art experiences, live canvas painting, and Mehendi artistry.
Inclusivity and Accessibility: Designed to be inclusive, with services like Spanish interpretation to support all participants in the surrounding area.
