Annual Meeting
ALMAS’ Annual Meeting, held every July, is a community-building potluck picnic where members come together to celebrate, connect, and shape the future of our organization. Voting members propose ideas for new programs, which are reviewed by the Board and shared for final approval. During the event, members have the opportunity to vote on new and modified programs, ensuring active participation in ALMAS' growth. This relaxed yet meaningful gathering allows everyone to engage, have their voices heard, and help us continue serving our community effectively.
Cafecito Meet and Greet
Cafecito “Meet and Greet” opportunities are gatherings to enable meaningful conversations and building connections. Join us next time for a chance to meet ALMAS leadership, learn about our mission, and discover how you can be part of our community efforts. No registration is needed—just stop by, enjoy a cafecito, and let’s connect!
ALMAScouts
ALMAScouts is a Spanish-based cultural enrichment program designed to support childhood development while celebrating Latino culture. This program blends socialization and learning through themed playgroups for children and their caregivers. Activites such as songs, games, movement, storytelling, crafts, and hands-on exploration integrate Spanish vocabulary in fun, culturally rich ways that foster connection and community.
Entre Amigos
"Entre Amigos" is the perfect opportunity for ALMAS members aged 21 and over to enjoy a fun and relaxing night out together. Don’t miss out on the excitement for these fun adult social events! Nights out are filled with laughter, connection, and great company as we come together to celebrate community. We can’t wait to see you there!
ALMAS de Oro
ALMAS de Oro (Golden ALMAS) honors the rich experiences and journeys of our Spanish-speaking older adults and seniors. This program is all about fostering connections, discovering shared stories, and building a close-knit community. With a focus on celebrating and supporting local Spanish-speaking older adults, ALMAS de Oro is growing into a powerful space for connection and empowerment.
Posada
The ALMAS December Posada is all about celebrating the holidays with our community complete with a Posada procession outdoors! It’s a fun-filled event with a potluck, piñata, Christmas carols, games, and a raffle. ALMAS also provides the ponche (punch) and it’s a great time for families, including kids, to come together, enjoy some holiday cheer, and make lasting memories.
